The c.1860 Smith Mill, ...100 yards downstream [of the Brownell Mill], was bought by the Brownells in the 1880s. The 2 1/2-story c.1860 frame mill, 70' x 40', has a gable roof and a shed addition on its north side. There is also an attached brick picker house built c.1875. (Roth) The ridge line is punctuated by a rectangular cupola with ventilation shutters and corner pilasters. The southern facade has a central bay of loading doors for each level, flanked on either side by two window bays on the first and second stories and one bay on the top level. The western elevation has seven window bays. The shed addition has been modified with elevated loading docks on the eastern side.

As of 3/2016, occupied by Dutch Oil Co. (appeared to be making no significant changes to structure interior or exterior). Original window sash appear to be missing, and windows are boarded.
